Named after the seven mountain nymph daughters of the Greek titan, Atlas. Maia, Electra, Taygete, Alcyone, Celaeno, Sterope, and Merope, known together as The Pleiades. The Pleiades were known as nursemaids and teachers, and companions of the Goddess of the hunt, Artemis.

This candle features scents of peony, Australian native leaves and blossoms, and comes in a glass container with gift box.

Gifts With Meaning candles are handmade in the Hawkesbury by a small team of women makers.

A simple mindfulness activity for use with a candle
Hold the candle in your hands, and feel its weight.

What is the texture of the container? How does it feel in your hands?
Take a deep breath in, and notice the scent of the candle.

What do you smell? What does it remind you of?
Carefully light the candle.

Notice what the flame looks like as it lights. Does it flicker? What colours do you see in the flame?
Listen carefully to the candle.

Does it make any noise? Focus intently to see what you can hear.

Spend some time observing the candle, as if you’d never seen a candle before. Can you be fully present with the simple act of lighting a candle? And what do you notice about your mood, feelings or thoughts as you do this?
